GLPS photo essay

I am a Christian. So I go to the church in Dubai. I was a Christian when I was a baby. In our church we have a program called ‘Outreach’. In this program we go to countries which that are not developed. So we go there and help the people and tell about God and Jesus Christ. This time it was Kenya Kapsigoria. When I heard that news I registered right away. I had to get ready for 2 months. When we were getting we were in 8 teams. The teams were separated into 2 game teams, 2 study teams, 2 memorizing teams and 2 making teams. I was in one of the game team. We made 2 fun games for day1 and day 2. There was even a medic team to cure the people who are hurt or ill in Kenya. Finally in the last week of June we went to Kenya. I was there for a week. I had a very good experience. So I will tell you my story.

This picture shows you the Dubai airport. I went to the Dubai airport to go to Kenya. We had a lot of luggage because we had things for medic and things. Our flight was at 1:50 in the morning so I got very tired. When I got the airplane I just fell in sleep right away.

This picture shows when I just arrived to Kenya and putting the luggage in to the old bus. It was very hard because one luggage almost weighted 10 to 30. It was hard for us to ride on the bus because the bus looked 15 years old and we had to on it for 10 to 12 hours. It was a very long trip.

Before I went to Kenya some people prepared and practiced dancing and drama. I was one of the people. I did 3 dances and one drama. It was a very hard to practice, but when I did the dances and the drama I felt very good. Because in the best view and was happy when everyone clapped and said it was good.

This picture is just in front of  my dormitory . this view is after i ate my lunch. You can see the green and mountains. The view that you will never see in Dubai. Because Dubai is a city and the rest of them is desert. I looked at this view for a half an hour because it was soo beautiful.

  In this picture I am with my friends. I think this trip was more fun and joyful. So I thank my friends. This picture was taken when we finished our job today. We were very tired, But we still smile. Because it was good day.

                                                    I'm going home!

It's my last day in Kapsigoria. I really had good days and learned many thing from the people. Now I am going to a motel. I am going to go to the airport tommarow. So I'll miss the people here. But I am happy to go back Home.

In the morning I went to the airport riding the old bus that will break soon for 8 hours. This picture is showing me and the other people how helped on this trip and I'm going to miss them.ㅠㅠ. Now in few hour I'm going to leave Kenya. Bye Kenya, see you next time.

I think it was a great experience in the week in Kenya. I think I learned more than I tought to the people there. If I have another chance I want to come here.

Dear my parents

I’m writing this letter to you to let me go to South Korea. I know you don’t agree with me, but I will try to persuade you in this letter. So please read my letter carefully. I will explain reasons for this and give facts to support my opinion.

The first reason is that I didn't see my families and my friends for a year and a half. I really miss them. I know you miss them also and I’m afraid that my friends will forget about me if I don’t meet every 2 years but I can’t go if it’s 2 years because our winter break is for only ‘for a week. But our winter break is long. So we have a lot of time.

The second reason is because of education. As you know someday I’m going to come back to South Korea. But you know that Korean education is hard so i9n my opinion I have to go to an academy. Academies in Dubai are very expensive but ion Korea it’s 3 times cheaper. But still we have to pay for the plane ticket also. But we can think of it as a vacation.

The third reason is I went to go to the best English camp called GLPS. I really want to go there because I heard that the foods are great and you can have good experiences and learn many new things. For example you can learn trial and leadership. The camp is taken in one of the best high school in Korea called KMLA. So it would be a great chance. I only got this year because the camp only gets students to M2 and I’m M2. So this would be my last chance.

As you can see there are 3 very important reasons. I have to go to Korea. I think the most important reasons are friendship and education. These are very important in our lives. So I think you have to send me to South Korea. To my homeland!!!

Warrior Jon

Once upon a time in a far far away land. There lived a happy living boy and a mom in a small town. The boy didn't have a dad so his friends made fun of him because he didn't have a dad. So one day the boy came running to his mom. The boy asked her mom why he didn't have a dad. But the mom didn't answer the questions and started to cry. Then finally the mom looked prepared for something very important and started to talk. She said that she is not his mom but she was his aunt. She said his father was a politic and a leader of an important party but he was accused from the other party. So the other party came to his house and killed everyone but the boy and his aunt ran away and came here. He and his aunt hugged each other and started to cry for a long long time. The boy thought revenge from that day. After the day passed the boy woke up and started to study and do martial arts. His aunt was very worried about him. This boy’s name was Jon.

Several years past after the boy ate dinner and when he started to sleep some ninja came into his room. The ninja said “time to die” and lifted his sword Jon’s aunt came in to the room and jumped to save Jon. When the boy opened his eyes his aunt was dead. He was scared but he had anger in him so the boy jumped to get his sword and when he pulled out his sword he attacked the ninjas but it was hopeless than a sword came through the window then it killed one ninja the someone came through the window and lifted his sword and killed all the ninjas. The warrior grabbed the boy and ran into the forest without a word. They ran for a longtime. Then Jon saw a house in the forest. The warrior went into the house. When they arrived to the house Jon saw a man who saved his life. Jon asked "who he is?" and "who were the ninjas?” The man answered one by one. He introduced himself. He said his name is Woo and that he worked for his dad before he passed away. He said the ninjas were send by the party that killed his dad. They tried to kill the root of his family. Then he told the Woo he wanted to do revenge the other party. Then Woo said that Jon should get stronger. So he said he will send Jon to the best martial academy. So he went to the place and he made many friends and he learned a lot of things in the academy. After 2 years later the ninjas somehow found the place where he was and attacked the place. So the warriors and some the teachers and Woo stopped them to come near to the kids. They made them run away. But then a man on a horse came in. When Woo saw him he looked very shocked. Then the man attacked him and Woo tried to block him but he was very strong so Woo died. Jon saw the whole thing and was very shocked. When the kids and the left teachers arrived to the save place to learn martial arts. But Jon got in a trauma. Because of him everyone died and got injured. Then his best friend Ho encouraged him and he started working again.

After 4 years later he became the princess guard. But before he started working in the palace he met some polities that helped his dad. The men's names were John, Jasen, and Howard. They told him that to prove the king that Jon's dad was innocent but the other party was too strong the King didn't listen to them. One day when was walking around the palace he heard to politicians talking about a revolution in one month. They said that the other party's leader Dae was in charge of it. When he heard this he went right away to the 3 politicians and told the whole story. So they went to the king and told them because his wife was the sister of Dae. One day Jon finished his work and when he was going home. He saw the man who killed Woo. The boy froze he felt fear but inside he could feel more anger. He attacked him. But he was no chance for him so he lost his sword and lost his sword. Then when the man lifted his sword and Jon closed his eyes but he heard a sword fall down. Jon opened his eyes the man was kneeling. He started crying a bit and said he was Jon's father best friend but he betrayed and killed him because he needed a lot of money. He said to kill him than Jon lifted the sword and said "You will die after you help me stop this revolution".  The man said he will help him and teach him sword fighting. The next day he met the men and he brought Sung with him. When the men saw him and lifted their sword try to kill him. But the boy stopped them and told them the story that happened yesterday. Sung said that one of Jon's dad’s friend was a war lord and we could go and get help. Sung, Jon and the men went to find war lord. The war lord was called Harry. He has won many battles so everyone liked him. He accepted to help them with 400 soldiers. Harry gave Jon a box it was a old box. The boy opened the box when they arrived home. He found pictures of his dad. It was his dad's relic. There was a sword. He opened the sword. The sword was one of the best made swords he has ever seen in his life. He found an envelope in the box. He read the letter. The letter was written to him. He never got an envelope and even it was from his father. The boy read it sad "Hi son, maybe this letter would be given to you when you read it I please. Son I am the worst dad in the world. I have to leave you in few min and I might see you again. Son I wanted to see you the first day you read, run around with friends, and the first day you say DAD to me. I'm sorry son. I am a bad dad sorry." Jon started crying. Then he asked Sung her is his parents tomb. He answered in a depressed feeling. He said there are no tombs for his parents because they were thought to be a betrayers. One day some ninjas came to the princess room. Jon killed all of them. He was rewarded from the King and became the King's guard. It was 2 weeks before the revolution. So they made a plan to stop the revolution. It was the Dae's plan to kill the prince. so he told the king that Jon flirted the prince. Then he was sent to prison. It was just 2 days before the revolution. But then he heard 2 men talk that the revolution would be tomorrow. So he had to tell someone.

My movies review (Princess Bride).

This movie I’m going to talk about is called the princess bride. This movie was made in 1987 by Rob Reiner. It was filmed in the Ireland and the United Kingdom. This story is about True Love. But don’t worry because there comedy, adventure, and action. To tell you what this story is about I have to write extremely long so I will tell you in few words. This story is about True Love, revenge, and royalty.

 This whole story begins from a boy who is sick. So his Grandfather reads him a story book. So eventually this movie is read by a grandfather. In this story there was a girl whose name was called Buttercup and her farm boy Westley. They fell in love but they couldn’t marry because Westley didn’t have enough money. So Westley went to earn money but he was attacked by a pirate she thought he was dead because no one could live when they met the pirates. Buttercup was heartbroken. 5years later Buttercup was going to marry prince Humperdincks. One day when she was riding her horse in the forest she was caught by 3 men. These men were hired by the prince. He did this because he wanted to make war with other country. When the 3 men 's where running away but in the sea there were monsters called streaking eel so she had to be captured again. When the 3 men arrived in the island, they climbed the cliff, but the boat was still following when 3 men chasing boat landed in the cliff. The 2 men ran away and one man called Inigo stayed and tried to stop the man from the chasing boat but he was too good for him and the next men ran away and the other man tried to stop him but he was not enough for him. So he, eventually beat the other guy also called Vizzini. So the prince and the man who was from the chasing boat was Westley and they tried to run away because the prince had arrived also to escape from the prince, they went into the forest of thieves. When they in the forest they were attacked by the big rats and by a quick sand. But they finally got cought and Westley was forced to go to the pit of dispace and was stretched by a machine. But he was eventually killed by the prince because Buttercup wanted Westley but not him. He was able to live because of 2 guys Inigo and Fosik.  Westley

saved their  live and the 3 men Inigo, Fosik, and Westley attacked the kingdom and was rescued Buttercup and ran away. Inigo had a revenge to do to the six-fingered man. the six-fingered man was the general and the general killed Inigo's father. So he revenged the six-fingered. When he tried to kill the six fingered man his speech was funny because he continued this sentence "You killed my father six-fingered man, I'll kill you".Finally Buttercup and Westley married. And lived happily ever after.

My favorite actor was Inigo because he looks cool because of his mustache and his speech was so funny. Everyone laughed when he did it. Inigo did his revenge for his dad. I think that this would make him very proud but dealing with it eye would make the world blind. So I think It didn't give me a lesson. The thing I learned a lesson from is by Buttercup and Westley because they never gave up to their love and that true love can't be cut any how. So I will love my person (but that is when I have one) as much  as I can  and make my own true love but I don't have a girl friend. I think there was one leadership, the person is prince Humberdinks. He had leadership in chasing Buttercup and Westley.

Do you know Matt Cutts? He gave TED talk about 30 days challenges. In this speech, he showed me that he was a just a normal computer scientist but after he did the 30 day challenges. He told us he changed like hiking a mountain in Africa. He has done many 30 day challenges; for example he has written a novel had, no sugar, etc.

I was persuaded by Matt Cutts. So I just made my 3 goals for GLPS. The first one is growing 3cm. I chose this goal is because I’m the shortest in my class and everyone thinks I’m m1 because I am short. To achieve this goal, I will do 2 things. I will drink milk in the morning and in the evening. Then I will stretch for 5 min. before I go to 2^nd self-studying. These 2 things are famous for helping one grow taller.

My second goal is about GLPS. It’s not getting a red card. I think we get a red card when we close the wooden doors and if we go over the school’s sign on the stairs. To achieve my goal, I will not break the rules in GLPS and don’t do the things our PA’s told us extra every time. My other thing to achieve my goal is to not get an EOP, speak only English and not get a yellow card. TO not get a yellow card I will listen to the Pas, TAs and the teachers and not break the camp’s rules. SO my second goal will be hard but I didn’t get any yet and didn’t break the school rules so I’ll try very hard to achieve my goal.

As my last goal, I’ll try to lose weight. If you just see me, you won’t think I’m very fat, but if you see the KGs, I’m between 50 to 60. I got very fat when I was in Dubai, because the weather is too high for lose weight. So I got extremely fat. To lose weight, I will play football after dinner. Football is my hobby, so I think I can do it when I’m having fun and have more friends. I won’t over eat the food in the cafeteria.

I think Matt Cutts is a very thoughtful man. I will try to achieve my 3 goals in GLPS. I think the hardest would be losing weight because I love to eat. So I think I have to go on the exercise thing.

3 Words That Will Introduce Myself

My name is Geun Jun Lee. I am in the 2nd year of middle school. I am going to introduce myself in an unusual way it will be hard to guess when I tell you the title but I think you will get through because I am going to tell you the reason why. then Let's Go Go Go

My first word is "5". If you just listen to the number 5 it would be hard so i'll just give you the answer. it related to traveling. my dad has travel to a lot of countries because of his business. My family follows my dad when he travels because they think it will be a great chance for me and my little brother. i have been in 3 different countries. i was in the U.K for 2 years, 4 years in Germany and i am living in the U.A.E. I just came to Korea because it was a vacation. As I told you I am living in Dubai. I don't know how long I am going to be in the U.A.E but I am estimating 4 years because i lived in Germany for 4 years. the 5 stands for how many schools i have been. this is really heartbreaking because I have to make friends and lose them. so when i come back from the U.A.E I don't want to lose friends again.

my next word is 7. i think everyone knows the captain for  Korea, Ji Sung Park. 7 stands for his uniform for the national team. Park became famous in the 2002 world cup for scoring the best goal in 2002 world cup. he is even famous for going to one of the best teams in the world, Manchester United. he is famous also because he has donated a lot of money to the poor countries. Park is hot because he got a girlfriend. i am a big fan of Park and I'm proud that that park is in my country. He would be my favorite soccer player forever.

My last word is soccer. This one is you don't have to think hard about because this is just my hobby. I like soccer. I played in my school team until now, but I was just on the bench. My position is defence because I am good at taking balls from attackers.
